THE ANDRE & SIMONE SOLTNER FOOD EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP

The Andre and Simone Soltner Food Education Scholarship was founded in 1994 to assist New York area individuals interested in a food or culinary career, who aspire to the standards of quality exemplified by the Soltners at their restaurant, Lutece, which maintained a four star New York Times rating for over thirty years. The passionate commitment required to remain at this level is the most important criterion sought in the applicants.

The Andre & Simone Soltner Food Education Scholarship is awarded annually on a rotating basis between three of New York's finest culinary educational institutions: The French Culinary Institute, New York University and New York City College of Technology. The 2002 Soltner Scholarship winner was awarded by FCI and you can read her application essay on the website. The 2003 Soltner Scholar will be awarded by New York City College of Technology. 2004 will be awarded by NYU.
