Have a great time eating BBQ prepared by the award-winning Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) team, Chix, Swine and Bovine, led by Pitmaster Mike Richter. Enjoy the BBQ with four brews by award-winning brewmaster, Jonathan Reeves. Port City Brewing Company is the only local brewery in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, and  owned by long-time AIWF member and supporter, Bill Butcher. For many years, Bill generously supported our chapter with wines from Folio Fine Wines.

In 2010, Chix, Swine and Bovine placed first in the Mid-Atlantic BBQ Association, won state championships in Maryland, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, and finished 12th nationally in KCBS rankings out of more than 5700 teams. We will enjoy Mike’s chicken, ribs, and brisket, as well as baked beans and cole slaw.

We will be drinking Port City’s Monumental India Pale Ale, Essential Pale Ale, Optimal Wit Belgian Style White Ale, and Porter. Iced tea will also be offered. Bill will tell us about his journey from wine to beer, and offer a tour of the brewery. Everyone who attends will receive a complimentary Port City Brewing Company glass.
