Returns to The Turnberry Isle Resort
& Club
~Local Celebrity Chef Dinner to be Held Saturday,
August 30~
Following
a $150 million transformation, the legendary Fairmont
Turnberry Isle Resort & Club
with its award-winning Executive Chef Hubert Des Marais welcomes back
the South Florida chapter of the American Institute of Wine &
Food. A tapas dinner with eight top local chefs is scheduled for 7:00
to 10 p.m. at the Laguna Pool on Saturday, August 30 and celebrates
the prestigious organization's return to the resort.
Reknowned
chefs confirmed to participate include the resort's Executive Chef
Hubert Des Marais and Pastry Chefs Sally Camacho & Tim Brown,
David Mullen (BOURBON STEAK,) Allen Susser (Chef Allen's) Norman Van
Aken (Norman's Orlando,) Dewey LoSasso (North One 10, ) Sean
O'Connell (Fontainebleau Resort), and Tim Andriola (Timo). Each chef
will prepare his or her own specialties using the freshest regional
ingredients including from Chef Hubert's rare herb and tropical fruit
tree garden. Island music will be provided by Nori Nori.

- Florida Wagyu barbeque short ribs with swamp cabbage and a
habanero-passion fruit drizzle. Chef

- Thai barbequed pork belly open-faced sandwich with local tomatoes,
home cured pineapple jerky and tot soi lettuces in sesame-pineapple

- lobster sausage with white bean cassoulet and pistachio pesto. Chef

boneless short rib sloppy joe topped with sliced filet mignon &
