Welcome to the Orange County Chapter!

The learning process about great wine and outstanding culinary combinations never ends for our chapter!

Members of the Orange County Chapter enjoy learning about food and wine in a setting of great fellowship and fun. Major events range from the 5-Star Napa Rose at Disneyland to a Newport Coast dinner on the beach at sunset. Smaller and more personal settings at member’s homes have included wine tasting and grading, wine glass seminars, and themed programs (such as “Tomatomania”). The variety of these events allows us to enjoy fine dining at outstanding restaurants and the intimacy of smaller group settings.

Our Board of directors includes chefs, boat captains, educators, corporate leaders, and firemen. Everyone has one thing in common: they love to learn and prepare food for friends paired with good wine. The Program Committee drives the Chapter into new adventures and uncharted waters with support from the members and Board. All members are encouraged to participate on the Program Committee to develop new and exciting events that are above and beyond the wine dinners now being offered by too many restaurants in the Orange County area.

Our commitment to education of our members extends to students in the Orange County community. Chapter events typically raise money for culinary scholarships and the Days of Taste Program for younger school children developed by AIWF. Scholarships averaging $500 have been given to culinary students at Orange Coast College, the Art Institute, and other schools in the county. Kitchen equipment donations have also been made to Harbor High School in Newport Beach. Our support will help open the door for future chefs with high culinary standards! Please see the national organization's web page for more details on the AIWF's mission, national events, and links to our sister chapters. The Orange County Chapter is one of thirty from across the United States. Along with our other chapters and the national organization, we promote an exchange of ideas that benefit both professionals and dedicated enthusiasts through publications and programs. We are delighted to offer a Scholarship Program, dedicated to full-time students in the wine or food industry. You, or someone you know, may be eligible. Volunteers proudly run all AIWF chapters. If you would like to get involved, please contact our chapter chair. We look forward to hearing from you.

Membership is open to all. It is a wonderful way to meet knowledgeable people in the industry and simply a great way to meet others with common interests. We encourage you to attend one or two of our events as a guest.

Please see the national organization's web page for more details on the AIWF's mission, national events, and links to our sister chapters.

Come see us again!
