Scholarships

2011:  Tonya Gamble was honored to present the AIWF-KC tuition credit award for the JCCC 2011 Apprentice of the Year Runner Up - Lynn Herrick.  Lynn was unable to be at the ACF-Kansas City Chef's Ass'n dinner, so we look forward to meeting her at a future chef's association meeting.

2010:  Congratulations to Matt Zadeh who was the JCCC 2010 Apprentice of the Year Runner Up and the winner of AIWF-KC's annual scholarship award!  John Martellaro had the pleasure of presenting this award at the Greater Kansas City Chefs Association's annual benefit dinner Oct 10th.  Matt apprentices at the Carriage Club and is in the 3rd year of the JCCC apprenticeship program.  He spends a lot of time going to nice restaurants to experience food and learn and see new things.  He also enjoys writing about food.

2009:  The winner and recipent of our chapter's annual scholarship award:  Sheena Maisch - Greater Kansas City Chefs Association "2009 Apprentice of the Year".  Congratulations Sheena!  Sheena apprentices at the Mission Hills Country Club.

2008:  We're happy to report that Renee Shortlidge, apprentice at Shadow Glen Golf Club in Olathe,is the recipient of our JCCC Scholarship award this year!
