Scholarships

Fostering our unique local food culture is an important mission of the AIWF.  The Dallas/Fort Worth chapter encourages the development of working and future local chefs with our ongoing scholarship program.

Restaurant Week Food and Wine Menu Pairing Contest

Each year during Restaurant Week the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of the AIWF sponsors a scholarship competition.  Participating restaurants submit food and wine pairing menus for judging by a panel of food and wine professionals.  The winning restaurant receives two scholarships for continuing education at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone.  The scholarships are awarded to the participating chef and wine professional.

Student Scholarships

The AIWF regularly awards scholarships for students enrolled in the culinary programs at El Centro College and the Art Institute of Dallas.  El Centro College is located in downtown Dallas and offers the Culinary Arts degree program for the Dallas County Community College system.  The Art institute of Dallas is a private institution and is one of 31 Art Institutes located in major cities throughout North America. The Art Institutes provided career-oriented education programs in design, media arts, fashion and culinary arts.

Working Professionals

The AIWF awards scholarships to experienced culinary professionals to encourage continuing education.

Master Class

A new concept for the Dallas/Fort Worth chapter, the Master Class features a renowned Chef and is conducted for area culinary students and AIWF members giving all an opportunity to participate and interact in an educational environment.
