Bring a bottle of wine and join the CT Chapter of AIWF Tuesday June 29th at Epernay Bistro in Bridgeport! We are pleased to announce that chef/owner Peter Wroe has put together a 4-course, wine-friendly menu exclusively for us! We are gathering on a Tuesday so that attendees may choose to remain past dinner to enjoy the free live jazz.
This casual summer event is the perfect opportunity to relax with wine, friends, food and jazz - all at a very reasonable cost. Epernay Bistro specializes in tasty, fresh bistro food with a flexible menu: small plates and sandwiches in addition to traditional entrees make it a great choice for a group with varying appetites. Epernay's wine list is a real pleasure for wine drinkers, specializing in great tasting lesser-known bottles at extremely reasonable prices. If that weren't already enough to make Epernay Bistro a foodie favorite, the focus is on organic food and smaller, local producers. Zagat commentators enthuse "a true French bistro", "excellent" and "refreshing" food, "warm" and "cozy" atmosphere; "a treasure in Bridgeport" that is "without a doubt worth the journey".
If you haven't yet been to Epernay, here is the perfect opportunity to try it! Bring a bottle of wine to share ($25 or less retail, or buy a bottle at Epernay), enjoy conversation and a great menu at small group tables, and relax to live jazz later in the evening. What more could one ask for on a Tuesday night? AIWF members, $57 (includes everything but the wine - food, service charge/tips, corkage fee); non-AIWF members $72.
